Artificial insemination syringes
The syringe that’s gentle, precise, and totally TTC-friendly.
If you've looked into at-home insemination, you've probably noticed people reaching for whatever 10ml syringe they can find at the pharmacy. They work, but they're oral medicine syringes, short and tipped with a hard pointed edge that was never meant for this. That's exactly why we made the InsemiAid.
Meet the InsemiAid, the insemination syringe we wish we'd had from the start. The tip is smooth and rounded for comfort, so it slides in gently with nothing sharp to worry about. At 13cm it's longer than a standard syringe, designed to place sperm comfortably near the cervix where it counts, and the 10ml capacity is just right for any semen sample without leaving part of it behind. It's completely needle-free, individually wrapped and sterile, so every attempt starts clean.
The InsemiAid syringes is for artificial insemination or ICI (intracervical insemination) which places semen at the opening of the cervix. That's the safe, correct approach for home use and it's exactly how we conceived at home. It is not an IUI syringe, which passes through the cervix and is only ever done by a clinician. For trying at home, ICI with a syringe like this is what you want.
Choose the pack of 5 for around 1 to 2 cycles, or the pack of 10 for better value across more cycles. Either way, you're taking insemination into your own hands with something actually built for it.
- Smooth rounded tip and 13cm length for comfortable placement near the cervix
- 10ml capacity, needle-free, sterile and single-use
- Made for at-home ICI insemination, not a repurposed pharmacy syringe
About InsemiAid
What size syringe is best for home insemination?
10ml is the right capacity. The average semen sample is between roughly 1.5ml and 5ml, so a smaller syringe risks losing part of it, while anything larger is unnecessary. The 13cm length is just as deliberate, long enough to comfortably reach near the cervix without going further than needed.
Is this an IUI syringe?
No. The InsemiAid is for ICI, intracervical insemination, which places semen at the opening of the cervix. That's the correct approach for at-home use. IUI passes through the cervix and must be done by a medical professional, so if a clinic has specifically recommended IUI, that isn't something done at home with a standard syringe.
Does it have a needle?
No, it's completely needle-free. The tip is smooth and rounded for gentle vaginal use, with nothing sharp.
Why not just use a pharmacy syringe?
Standard pharmacy syringes are usually oral medicine syringes, which tend to be shorter with a hard pointed tip. They're the same volume but far less comfortable and harder to place well. The InsemiAid is made specifically for insemination, longer and rounded for comfort.
How many syringes will I need?
One per insemination attempt. We'd suggest inseminating on the day of your LH surge and again the next day, so around two per cycle. The pack of 5 covers roughly 2 to 3 cycles and the pack of 10 suits 4 to 5 cycles or a longer journey.
Can I reuse a syringe?
No. Each InsemiAid is sterile and single-use. Keep it sealed until you're ready, use it once, then dispose of it.
What if there are air bubbles?
Small bubbles are fine and won't harm sperm. If you have a large one, hold the syringe tip up and tap gently to bring it to the top before you insert.
