Super prompt shipping! So far I have found the thermometer great quality and easy to use. I haven't used the OPKs yet but was impressed by the reasonable price compared to pharmacy versions.

How to use it

For the LH strips, dip in a urine sample for a few seconds, lay flat, and read at 5 to 10 minutes. A test line as dark as the control line or darker means your surge is here. For the thermometer, take your temperature first thing every morning before you get up, eat, or drink, then log it. A small sustained rise of around 0.3 of a degree usually means ovulation has passed. Over a cycle or two, the strips show you when to try and the temperature pattern confirms your timing was right. Full instructions are in the box.

The thermometer is body-safe and reusable, with a protective case for storage. OvaDetect strips are individually foil-sealed, single-use, and made specifically for fertility tracking. Latex-free.

Frequently asked

About ovulation kit

Why use a thermometer and strips together?

They answer different questions. OvaDetect strips predict ovulation by detecting your LH surge before it happens. OvaTrack confirms ovulation afterwards by picking up the small temperature rise that follows. Used together they give you both the heads-up and the confirmation, which is far more reliable than either on its own.

What is basal body temperature?

It's your body's lowest resting temperature, taken first thing in the morning before you move around. After ovulation, progesterone causes a small sustained rise, usually around 0.3°C. Tracking that shift with OvaTrack confirms that ovulation has happened.

How precise is the OvaTrack thermometer?

It reads to 0.01°C, far finer than a standard fever thermometer. The temperature shift after ovulation is small, often just a few tenths of a degree, so that precision is what lets it show up clearly on your chart.

Does this kit work if my cycles are irregular?

Yes, and it's often where it helps most. Calendar and app predictions rely on regular cycles to be accurate. Because strips and temperature read your actual body rather than an average, they suit cycles that vary from month to month.

When do I take my temperature?

First thing every morning, at roughly the same time, before you get up, eat, or drink anything. Even getting out of bed first can affect the reading, so keep OvaTrack within reach and test before you start your day.

Can I use this kit for home insemination?

Absolutely. The OvaDetect strips help you time each attempt around your surge, and OvaTrack confirms your window afterwards. These are the same strips we include in our insemination kits.

Are digital ovulation tests more accurate than these strips?

Not for detecting your surge. Both digital tests and strips are over 99% accurate at picking up the LH surge. Digital tests give you a symbol instead of lines, but you're paying more for the reader, not for better accuracy.
