How to Use the Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test

The Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test is designed to identify your 2 most fertile days by detecting the surge in Luteinizing Hormone (LH) that happens just before ovulation. Here's how to use it with ease and confidence.

1. Start testing a few days before you expect to ovulate (typically Day 10 of your cycle if you have a 28-day cycle).

2. Use the chart in the instruction leaflet to find your recommended starting day based on your cycle length.

You can test either by:

1. Directly urinating on the absorbent tip for 5–7 seconds, or

2. Dipping the test stick into a urine sample collected in a clean, dry container for 15 seconds.

💡 Avoid testing with first-morning urine — mid-morning or early evening often works best for LH detection.

1. Remove a test stick from the foil wrapper.

2. Insert the test stick into the digital holder until it clicks into place.

3. Once ready, you’ll see a blinking symbol on the display — that means the test is working.

1. Wait 3 minutes.

2. The result will appear on the screen:

4. 🔘 Empty circle = No LH surge detected → Test again tomorrow at the same time.

Once you see a smiley face, there’s no need to continue testing for that cycle.

1. After reading your result, eject the test stick and dispose of it in the bin.

2. The digital holder can be reused with new Clearblue test sticks until the battery runs out.

1. Test at the same time each day for consistency.

2. Don’t drink excessive fluids before testing — this can dilute your LH levels.

3. Use alongside your TTC tools like BBT tracking or an insemination kit for the clearest picture of your cycle.
